  I have no issues with the doctors at this centre, but the receptionists are an entirely different story. I've been here many times and every time the receptionists have been rude, condescending, and irritable. I rarely write reviews (infact never have on Google) and am always understanding and compassionate about work stress, but my experience today has prompted me here. I have moved out of the Leichhardt area to regional NSW and am unable to get an appt with any of the three medical centres here for at least two weeks. I need a script for a regular medication I've been taking for several years, which was last prescribed to me by one of the doctors at Leichhardt. I called this morning and explained the situation, and asked very unassumingly whether it would be possible for that doctor to fax a copy of the script to my local pharmacy, as this would be the only way for me to get the medication. I was told by the receptionist that she would ask the doctor and call me back. It is now almost 5pm and I've not heard anything, so I called again. This time I spoke to a different receptionist, and again apologetically explained the situation. This particular receptionist is someone I recognise (by the voice) as a lady who has worked at the medical centre for years and is usually whinging to other staff whilst you sit there waiting in the waiting room. Anyway, she basically just shut me down and said "we don't just hand out scripts by fax, you know" Not overtly rude, but the condescending tone and her unwillingness to help me, despite my explaining that another receptionist had told me otherwise and had neglected to call me back, is characteristic of the service I have received at this practice over the years. I understand it is the nature of a medical centre to be busy, distracted, and not family/community minded necessarily, however common courtesy and polite helpfulness would not go astray. I will not be returning here.
